1 Samuel 26:4

David therefore sent out spies
To observe if he was coming or come, and where he was, that he might not be surprised by him; for though David knew the Lord was and would be his protection, he thought proper to be upon his guard, and to make use of means for his safety:

and understood that Saul was come in very deed;
that he was most certainly come, and come to some certain place; which he himself went to reconnoitre, as in ( 1 Samuel 26:5 ) .

2 Entonces Sa煤l escogi贸 a tres mil de los soldados selectos de Israel y sali贸 con ellos a perseguir a David en el desierto de Zif.
3 Sa煤l acamp贸 junto al camino que est谩 al lado de la colina de Haquila, cerca de Jesim贸n, donde David se escond铆a. Cuando David se enter贸 de que Sa煤l hab铆a venido al desierto a perseguirlo,
4 envi贸 esp铆as para verificar la noticia de su llegada.
5 Cierta noche, David pas贸 desapercibido al campamento de Sa煤l para echar un vistazo. Sa煤l y Abner, hijo de Ner, el comandante del ej茅rcito, dorm铆an dentro del c铆rculo formado por sus guerreros, todos bien dormidos.
6 鈥斅縌ui茅n se ofrece a ir conmigo al campamento? 鈥攑regunt贸 David a Ahimelec el hitita y a Abisai, hijo de Sarvia, hermano de Joab.
