Genesis 41:1

And it came to pass at the end of two full years
It is not a clear case, as Aben Ezra observes, from whence these years are to be reckoned, whether from the time of Joseph's being put into prison, or from the time that the chief butler was taken out of it; the latter seems more probable, and better connects this and the preceding chapter: that Pharaoh dreamed, and, behold, he stood by the river;
it seemed to him, in his dream, as if he stood near the river Nile, or some canal or flow of water cut out of that river.

1 Los sueños del faraón
Dos años después, el faraón soñó que estaba de pie a la orilla del río Nilo.

2 En su sueño, vio siete vacas gordas y sanas que salían del río y comenzaban a pastar entre los juncos.

3 Luego vio otras siete vacas que salían del Nilo detrás de ellas, pero eran flacas y raquíticas. Esas vacas se pusieron junto a las vacas gordas, en la ribera del río.

4 ¡Entonces las vacas flacas y raquíticas se comieron a las siete vacas gordas y sanas! En ese momento del sueño, el faraón se despertó.

5 Después volvió a dormirse y tuvo un segundo sueño. Esta vez vio siete espigas llenas de grano, robustas y hermosas, que crecían de un solo tallo.
