Acts 14:4

But the multitude of the city was divided
In their sentiments, about the apostles, their doctrines, and miracles; some approving them, others condemning their doctrines as false, and their miracles as delusions:

and part held with the Jews;
that did not believe, but rejected the apostles, despised their doctrines, and disparaged their miracles:

and part with the apostles;
these were the Jews and Greeks, that believed; which divisions in families, towns, and cities, though the common consequence of the preaching of the Gospel, are not owing to any fault in that, but to the depravity and corruption of human nature; and are what our Lord declared was, and foretold would be the case, ( Luke 12:51 ) .

2 Sin embargo, algunos de los judíos rechazaron el mensaje de Dios y envenenaron la mente de los gentiles
en contra de Pablo y Bernabé;

3 pero los apóstoles se quedaron allí por mucho tiempo, predicando con valentía acerca de la gracia del Señor. Y el Señor demostraba que el mensaje era verdadero al darles poder para hacer señales milagrosas y maravillas;

4 pero la gente de la ciudad estaba dividida en cuanto a su opinión sobre ellos. Algunos estaban del lado de los judíos, y otros apoyaban a los apóstoles.

5 Entonces una turba de gentiles y judíos, junto con sus líderes, decidieron atacarlos y apedrearlos.

6 Cuando los apóstoles se enteraron, huyeron a la región de Licaonia, a las ciudades de Listra y Derbe y sus alrededores.
