Isaiah 30:3

Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame
They should be disappointed of the help and assistance they expected from him, and so be ashamed of their ally, and of confidence in him: and the trust in the shadow of Egypt [your] confusion;
they should be confounded, when they should find themselves unsupported by the Egyptians, in whom they put their confidence; so all such that trust in the creature, or in an arm of flesh, sooner or later are ashamed and confounded; but those that trust in the Lord never are, neither in this world, nor in that to come.

1 La alianza inútil entre Judá y Egipto
»Qué aflicción les espera a mis hijos rebeldes
—dice el Señor
—.
Ustedes hacen planes contrarios a los míos;
hacen alianzas que no son dirigidas por mi Espíritu,
y de esa forma aumentan sus pecados.

2 Pues sin consultarme,
bajaron a Egipto en busca de ayuda;
pusieron su confianza en la protección del faraón
y trataron de esconderse bajo su sombra.

3 Pero por confiar en el faraón serán humillados,
y por depender de él, serán avergonzados.

4 Pues, aunque el poder del faraón se extiende hasta Zoán,
y sus funcionarios han llegado a Hanes,

5 todos los que confíen en él serán avergonzados.
Él no los ayudará;
todo lo contrario, los avergonzará».
