7 »En ese día —dice el Señor
—, cuando la gente jure ya no dirá: “Tan cierto como que el Señor
vive, quien rescató al pueblo de Israel de la tierra de Egipto”.

Jeremiah 23:7

Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord
Or, "are coming" ^F9; and will begin to take place in a little time, even upon the Jews' return from Babylon; and reached to the times of Christ, to which they have a special regard; and include the whole Gospel dispensation, even the latter day glory, when the Jews shall return to, and dwell in, their own land; as ( Jeremiah 23:8 ) ; shows: that they shall no more say, the Lord liveth:
the people of Israel in particular, or the Lord's people in general, shall no more swear by the living God, described as follows; or, as the Targum, declare no more the power of God, in the instance next mentioned, they had been used to do: which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt:
which, though a wonderful deliverance, and never to be forgotten; yet not to be named with the redemption and salvation wrought out by Christ the Lord our righteousness; that being a deliverance from far greater and more powerful enemies, and from the far greater bondage of sin, Satan, and the law; nor with the restoration of the Jews in the latter day, which will be a most wonderful and amazing event, ( Romans 11:15 Romans 11:25 Romans 11:26 ) .

5 »Pues se acerca la hora
—dice el Señor
—,
cuando levantaré a un descendiente justo
del linaje del rey David.
Él será un rey que gobernará con sabiduría;
hará lo justo y lo correcto por toda la tierra.

6 Y su nombre será:
“El Señor
es nuestra justicia”
.
En ese día Judá estará a salvo,
e Israel vivirá seguro.

7 »En ese día —dice el Señor
—, cuando la gente jure ya no dirá: “Tan cierto como que el Señor
vive, quien rescató al pueblo de Israel de la tierra de Egipto”.

8 En cambio, dirán: “Tan cierto como que el Señor
vive, quien trajo a Israel de regreso a su propia tierra desde la tierra del norte y de todos los países a donde él los envió al destierro”. Entonces vivirán en su propia tierra».

9 Juicio a los falsos profetas
Mi corazón está destrozado debido a los falsos profetas,
y me tiemblan los huesos.
Me tambaleo como un borracho,
como alguien dominado por el vino,
debido a las santas palabras
que el Señor
ha pronunciado contra ellos.
