Jeremías 36:27

27 Jeremías vuelve a escribir el rollo
Después de que el rey quemó el rollo en el que Baruc había escrito las palabras de Jeremías, el Señor
le dio a Jeremías otro mensaje. Le dijo:

Jeremiah 36:27

Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah
In the place where he was hid; the Lord knew where he was, for he hid him, and therefore could send his word to him: after the king had burnt the roll;
either with his own hands, or had ordered it to be burnt, or connived at the burning of it: and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah;
hence the Jews ^F21 gather, that when a man sees the book of the law burnt, that he is bound to rend his garments twice; once for the burning of the paper or parchment, and again for the burning of the writing; but no other is meant than the roll, in which the prophecies were written, Baruch took from the mouth of Jeremiah: saying;

25 Aun cuando Elnatán, Delaía y Gemarías le suplicaron al rey que no quemara el rollo, él no les hizo caso.

26 Entonces el rey mandó a su hijo Jerameel, a Seraías, hijo de Azriel, y a Selemías, hijo de Abdeel, para que arrestaran a Baruc y a Jeremías; pero el Señor
los había escondido.

27 Jeremías vuelve a escribir el rollo
Después de que el rey quemó el rollo en el que Baruc había escrito las palabras de Jeremías, el Señor
le dio a Jeremías otro mensaje. Le dijo:

28 «Toma otro rollo y escribe de nuevo todo tal como lo hiciste en el rollo que quemó el rey Joacim.

29 Luego dile al rey: “Esto dice el Señor
: ‘Tú quemaste el rollo porque allí dice que el rey de Babilonia destruiría esta tierra y la dejaría vacía de gente y de animales.
