27 Maten incluso a sus becerros,
¡para ellos también será terrible!
¡Masácrenlos a todos!
Pues ha llegado el día del juicio a Babilonia.

Jeremiah 50:27

Slay all her bullocks
Or, "all her mighty ones", as the Targum and Vulgate Latin version; her princes and great men, as Jarchi, Kimchi, and Abarbinel; compared to bullocks for their strength, fatness, and fierceness; see ( Psalms 22:12 Psalms 22:13 ) ; this may well be applied to the slaughter of kings, captains, and mighty men, at the battle of Armageddon, ( Revelation 19:18 ) ; let them go down to the slaughter;
to the place slaughter, as oxen do, insensible, and whether they will or not: woe unto them, for their day is come, the time of their visitation;
the time of their destruction, of visiting or punishing them for their sins, appointed by the Lord, which they could not pass; and so a woeful and dreadful time to them.

abrió su arsenal
y sacó armas para desahogar su furor.
El terror que caiga sobre los babilonios
será la obra del Señor
Soberano de los Ejércitos Celestiales.

26 Sí, vengan contra ella desde tierras lejanas
y abran sus graneros.
Aplasten sus muros y sus casas, y conviértanlos en montones de escombros.
¡Destrúyanla por completo y no dejen nada!

27 Maten incluso a sus becerros,

Pues ha llegado el día del juicio a Babilonia.

28 Escuchen a la gente que escapó de Babilonia
mientras cuentan en Jerusalén
cómo el Señor
nuestro Dios se vengó
de los que destruyeron su templo.

29 »Manden llamar a los arqueros para que vengan a Babilonia.
Rodeen la ciudad para que nadie escape.
Háganle lo mismo que ella les hizo a otros,
porque desafió al Señor
, el Santo de Israel.
