3 Esto dice el Señor
de los Ejércitos Celestiales, Dios de Israel:
»“Incluso ahora, si abandonan sus malos caminos les permitiré quedarse en su propia tierra;

Jeremiah 7:3

Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel
The Lord of armies above and below in general, and the God of Israel in particular; wherefore they ought to hearken to what he was about to say, and to be obedient to him: amend your ways and your doings;
or, "make them good" ^F12; which shows that they were bad, and were not agreeable to the law and will of God, to which they ought to have been conformed; and the way to amend them was to act according to the rule of the divine word they were favoured with: and I will cause you to dwell in this place;
to continue to dwell in Jerusalem, and in Judea, the land of their nativity, and in the temple, the house of God, and place of religious worship; but, if not, it is suggested that they should not continue here, but be carried captive into a strange land.

El Señor
le dio otro mensaje a Jeremías diciendo:

2 «Vete a la entrada del templo del Señor
y dale el siguiente mensaje al pueblo: “Oh Judá, ¡escucha este mensaje del Señor
! ¡Escúchenlo, todos ustedes que aquí adoran al Señor
!

3 Esto dice el Señor
de los Ejércitos Celestiales, Dios de Israel:
»“Incluso ahora, si abandonan sus malos caminos les permitiré quedarse en su propia tierra;

4 pero no se dejen engañar por los que les prometen seguridad simplemente porque aquí está el templo del Señor
. Ellos repiten: ‘¡El templo del Señor
está aquí! ¡El templo del Señor
está aquí!’.

5 Pero seré misericordioso únicamente si abandonan sus malos pensamientos y sus malas acciones, y comienzan a tratarse el uno al otro con justicia;
