Miqueas 7:1-6

1 El sufrimiento se transforma en esperanza
¡Miserable de mí!
Me siento como el recolector de fruta que después de cosechar
no encuentra nada que comer.
No encuentro ni un racimo de uvas ni uno de los primeros higos
para saciar mi hambre.

2 La gente que sigue a Dios ha desaparecido;
no queda ni una sola persona honrada sobre la tierra.
Son todos asesinos,
les tienden trampas hasta a sus propios hermanos.

3 ¡Con ambas manos son hábiles para hacer el mal!
Tanto los funcionarios como los jueces exigen sobornos.
La gente con influencia obtiene lo que quiere
y juntos traman para torcer la justicia.

4 Hasta el mejor de ellos es como una zarza;
el más honrado es tan peligroso como un cerco de espinos.
Pero ahora viene con prontitud el día de juicio.
Su hora de castigo ha llegado, un tiempo de confusión.

5 No confíen en nadie,
¡ni en su mejor amigo, ni siquiera en su esposa!

6 Pues el hijo desprecia a su padre.
La hija se rebela contra su madre.
La nuera reta a su suegra.
¡Sus enemigos están dentro de su propia casa!

INTRODUCTION TO MICAH 7

This chapter begins with a lamentation of the prophet, in the name of the church and people of God, concerning the general depravity and corruption of the times in which he lived, Mic 7:1-6; then declares what he was determined to do for his relief in such circumstances, Mic 7:7; comforts himself and the church with a good hope and firm belief of its being otherwise and better with them, to the shame and confusion of their enemies that now rejoiced, though without just reason for it, Mic 7:8-10; with promises of deliverance, after a desolation of the land for some time, Mic 7:11-13; and with the answer returned to the prayers of the prophet, Mic 7:14,15; which would issue in the astonishment of the world, and their subjection to the church of God, Mic 7:16,17; and the chapter is concluded with admiration at the pardoning grace and mercy of God, and his faithfulness to his promises, Mic 7:18-20.
