25 Pero Omrí hizo lo que ofende al SEÑOR y pecó más que todos los reyes que lo precedieron.

1 Kings 16:25

But Omri wrought evil in the eyes of the Lord
Openly and publicly, as if it were in defiance of him:

and did worse than all that were before him;
taking no warning by the judgments inflicted on them, which aggravated his sins; and besides, he not only worshipped the calves, as the rest, and drew Israel by his example into the same, as they did, but he published edicts and decrees, obliging them to worship them, and forbidding them to go to Jerusalem, called "the statutes of Omri", ( Micah 6:16 ) .

23 En el año treinta y uno de Asá, rey de Judá, Omrí ascendió al trono de Israel, y reinó doce años, seis de ellos en Tirsá.

24 A un cierto Sémer le compró el cerro de Samaria por sesenta y seis kilos de plata, y allí construyó una ciudad. En honor a Sémer, nombre del anterior propietario del cerro, la llamó Samaria.

25 Pero Omrí hizo lo que ofende al SEÑOR y pecó más que todos los reyes que lo precedieron.

26 Siguió el mal ejemplo de Jeroboán hijo de Nabat, persistiendo en el mismo pecado con que este hizo pecar a Israel y provocando con sus ídolos inútiles la ira del SEÑOR, Dios de Israel.

27 Los demás acontecimientos del reinado de Omrí, incluso lo que atañe a las proezas que realizó, están escritos en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel.
