35 Entonces el rey puso a Benaías hijo de Joyadá sobre el ejército en lugar de Joab, y al sacerdote Sadoc lo puso en lugar de Abiatar.

And the king put Benaiah the son of Jehoiada in his room over
the host
Advanced him from being captain of his bodyguards to be general of the army:

and Zadok the priest did he put in the room of Abiathar;
from a common priest he promoted him to the high priesthood; whereby that office was restored to its ancient line, the family or Eleazar, having been in the line of Ithamar for many years; and the prediction of the destruction of Eli's house, made eighty years ago, began to be fulfilled, ( 1 Samuel 2:31-36 ) .

33 ¡Que la culpa de esas muertes recaiga para siempre sobre la cabeza de Joab y de sus descendientes! ¡Pero que la paz del SEÑOR permanezca para siempre con David y sus descendientes, y con su linaje y su trono!
34 Benaías hijo de Joyadá fue y mató a Joab, e hizo que lo sepultaran en su hacienda de la estepa.
35 Entonces el rey puso a Benaías hijo de Joyadá sobre el ejército en lugar de Joab, y al sacerdote Sadoc lo puso en lugar de Abiatar.
36 Luego mandó llamar a Simí y le dijo:—Constrúyete una casa en Jerusalén, y quédate allí. No salgas a ninguna parte,
37 porque el día que salgas y cruces el arroyo de Cedrón, podrás darte por muerto. Y la culpa será tuya.
