and set Naboth on high among the people;
placed him at the bar as a criminal, (See Gill on 1 Kings 21:9), though Josephus ^F3 thinks he was set on an high place in the court, because he was of an illustrious birth.

13 Llegaron los dos sinvergüenzas, se sentaron frente a él y lo acusaron ante el pueblo, diciendo: «¡Nabot ha maldecido a Dios y al rey!» Como resultado, la gente lo llevó fuera de la ciudad y lo mató a pedradas.

14 Entonces le informaron a Jezabel: «Nabot ha sido apedreado y está muerto».
