50 Perdona a tu pueblo, que ha pecado contra ti; perdona todas las ofensas que te haya infligido. Haz que sus enemigos le muestren clemencia,

1 Kings 8:50

And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all
their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee
By returning them to their own land; by which it would appear that the Lord had forgiven their trespasses, as well as by what follows:

and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that
they may have compassion on them;
for it is in the power of God to work upon the affections of men, and dispose their minds to use his people well, and to pity them under their distresses, as the Chaldeans did the Jews in Babylon, ( Psalms 106:46 ) .

48 y allá en la tierra de sus enemigos que los tomaron cautivos se vuelven a ti de todo corazón y con toda el alma, y oran a ti y dirigen la mirada hacia la tierra que les diste a sus antepasados, hacia la ciudad que has escogido y hacia el templo que he construido en tu honor,

49 oye tú su oración y su súplica desde el cielo, donde habitas, y defiende su causa.

50 Perdona a tu pueblo, que ha pecado contra ti; perdona todas las ofensas que te haya infligido. Haz que sus enemigos le muestren clemencia,

51 pues Israel es tu pueblo y tu heredad; ¡tú lo sacaste de aquel horno de fundición que es Egipto!

52 »¡Dígnate mantener atentos tus oídos a la súplica de este siervo tuyo y de tu pueblo Israel! ¡Escúchalos cada vez que te invoquen!
