14 Pero Menajem hijo de Gadí llegó de Tirsá a Samaria, y allí atacó a Salún hijo de Jabés y lo mató, usurpando así el trono.

2 Kings 15:14

For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah
A city in the tribe of Manasseh, the royal city of the kings of Israel before Omri, of which (See Gill on Joshua 12:24), whether Menahem was of this city, or was now besieging it with an army he had the command of, as Josephus ^F18 suggests, is not certain; however, hearing what had befallen Zachariah, he came from hence: and came to Samaria; which, according to Bunting ^F19, was six miles from Tirzah:

and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and
reigned in his stead;
judging he had as good a right to the throne as Shallum had.

12 De este modo se cumplió la palabra que el SEÑOR le había dado a conocer a Jehú: «Durante cuatro generaciones tus descendientes ocuparán el trono de Israel».

13 Salún hijo de Jabés ascendió al trono en el año treinta y nueve de Uzías, rey de Judá, y reinó en Samaria un mes.

14 Pero Menajem hijo de Gadí llegó de Tirsá a Samaria, y allí atacó a Salún hijo de Jabés y lo mató, usurpando así el trono.

15 Los demás acontecimientos del reinado de Salún, incluso su conspiración, están escritos en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Israel.

16 Por aquel tiempo, Menajem atacó la ciudad de Tifsa. Como no le abrieron las puertas de la ciudad, mató a todos los que vivían allí y en los alrededores, comenzando por Tirsá, y les abrió el vientre a las mujeres embarazadas.
