7 El SE脩OR estaba con Ezequ铆as, y por tanto este tuvo 茅xito en todas sus empresas. Se rebel贸 contra el rey de Asiria y no se someti贸 a 茅l.

2 Kings 18:7

And the Lord was with him
The Word of the Lord was for his help, as the Targum:

and he prospered whithersoever he went forth;
that is, to war:

and he rebelled against the king of Assyria:
which is explained in the next clause:

and served him not;
he refused to be his servant, as his father Ahaz had been, ( 2 Kings 16:7 ) , to which he was not obliged by any agreement of his; and, if it was in his power, might lawfully shake off his yoke, which is all that is meant by rebelling against him; he refused to be tributary to him.

5 Ezequ铆as puso su confianza en el SE脩OR, Dios de Israel. No hubo otro como 茅l entre todos los reyes de Jud谩, ni antes ni despu茅s.
6 Se mantuvo fiel al SE脩OR y no se apart贸 de 茅l, sino que cumpli贸 los mandamientos que el SE脩OR le hab铆a dado a Mois茅s.
7 El SE脩OR estaba con Ezequ铆as, y por tanto este tuvo 茅xito en todas sus empresas. Se rebel贸 contra el rey de Asiria y no se someti贸 a 茅l.
8 Y derrot贸 a los filisteos, tanto en las torres de vigilancia como en las ciudades fortificadas, hasta llegar a Gaza y sus alrededores.
9 En el a帽o cuarto del reinado de Ezequ铆as, es decir, en el a帽o s茅ptimo del reinado de Oseas hijo de El谩, rey de Israel, Salmanasar, rey de Asiria, march贸 contra Samaria y la siti贸.
