Ezequiel 28:21 Meaning and Commentary

Ezekiel 28:21

Son of man, set thy face against Zidon
An ancient city, near to Tyre, and in confederacy with it, greatly given to idolatry and superstition; and may design all the antichristian states in the communion of the church of Rome: and prophesy against it;
the prophet is bid to look towards this place with a stern countenance, as before against Tyre; threatening it with ruin, and prophesying of it, in the following manner.

19 Al verte, han quedado espantadastodas las naciones que te conocen.Has llegado a un final terrible,y ya no volverás a existir”».
20 El SEÑOR me dirigió la palabra:
21 «Hijo de hombre, encara a Sidón y profetiza contra ella.
22 Adviértele que así dice el SEÑOR omnipotente:»“Aquí estoy, Sidón, para acusartey para ser glorificado en ti.Cuando traiga sobre ti un justo castigo,y manifieste sobre ti mi santidad,se sabrá que yo soy el SEÑOR.
23 Mandaré contra ti una peste,y por tus calles correrá la sangre;por la espada que ataca por todos ladoslos heridos caerán en tus calles,y se sabrá que yo soy el SEÑOR.
