Acts 14:2

But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles
That part of the Jews, which continued in unbelief, and rejected the doctrine of the apostles, concerning Jesus of Nazareth being the Messiah; these stirred up the Gentiles, who had no knowledge of, nor faith in this matter:

and made their minds evil affected against the brethren;
either in general against all those that embraced the Gospel of Christ; who being of the same faith and family, having the same God to be their Father, and equally related to, and interested in Christ Jesus, are called brethren; or in particular against the Apostles Paul and Barnabas, by representing them as seditious persons, and of bad designs.

1 En Iconio, Pablo y Bernabé entraron, como de costumbre, en la sinagoga judía y hablaron de tal manera que creyó una multitud de judíos y de griegos.

2 Pero los judíos incrédulos incitaron a los gentiles y les amargaron el ánimo contra los hermanos.

3 En todo caso, Pablo y Bernabé pasaron allí bastante tiempo, hablando valientemente en el nombre del Señor, quien confirmaba el mensaje de su gracia haciendo señales y prodigios por medio de ellos.

4 La gente de la ciudad estaba dividida: unos estaban de parte de los judíos, y otros de parte de los apóstoles.

5 Hubo un complot tanto de los gentiles como de los judíos, apoyados por sus dirigentes, para maltratarlos y apedrearlos.
