Jeremiah 52:2

And he did [that which was] evil in the eyes of the Lord
Though we do not read of any idolatry he was guilty of; yet he was disobedient to the word of the Lord, and did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet of the Lord, that spoke in his name; and particularly he rebelled against the king of Babylon, and violated the oath he made to him, ( 2 Chronicles 36:12 2 Chronicles 36:13 ) ; according to all that Jehoiakim had done;
an elder brother of his, who reigned after Josiah, and before Jehoiachin.

Jeremías 52:2 In-Context

1 Sedequías tenía veintiún años cuando ascendió al trono, y reinó en Jerusalén once años. Su madre se llamaba Jamutal hija de Jeremías, oriunda de Libná.

2 Al igual que Joacim, Sedequías hizo lo que ofende al SEÑOR,

3 a tal grado que el SEÑOR, en su ira, echó a Jerusalén y a Judá de su presencia. Todo esto sucedió en Jerusalén y en Judá.Sedequías se rebeló contra el rey de Babilonia.

4 En el año noveno del reinado de Sedequías, a los diez días del mes décimo, Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, marchó con todo su ejército y atacó a Jerusalén. Acampó frente a la ciudad y construyó una rampa de asalto a su alrededor.

5 La ciudad estuvo sitiada hasta el año undécimo del reinado de Sedequías.
