Nehemiah 6:5

Then sent Sanballat his servant unto me in like manner the
fifth time
In his own name, neither Tobiah nor Geshem joining with him, he being more solicitous and anxious to get him into his hands than any of them; and it may be, as some think, pretending more friendship for him than the rest, and therefore writes alone, as if they knew nothing of his writing:

with an open letter in his hand:
which having in it an intimation of Nehemiah being guilty of treason, anyone that would might read it, and so spread the defamation.

3 Así que envié unos mensajeros a decirles: «Estoy ocupado en una gran obra, y no puedo ir. Si bajara yo a reunirme con ustedes, la obra se vería interrumpida».

4 Cuatro veces me enviaron este mensaje, y otras tantas les respondí lo mismo.

5 La quinta vez Sambalat me envió, por medio de uno de sus siervos, el mismo mensaje en una carta abierta,

6 que a la letra decía:«Corre el rumor entre la gente —y Guesén lo asegura— de que tú y los judíos están construyendo la muralla porque tienen planes de rebelarse. Según tal rumor, tú pretendes ser su rey,

7 y has nombrado profetas para que te proclamen rey en Jerusalén, y se declare: “¡Tenemos rey en Judá!” Por eso, ven y hablemos de este asunto, antes de que todo esto llegue a oídos del rey».
