Numbers 22:39

And Balaam went with Balak
From Ar of Moab, or, however, from the place where they met, to the royal city where Balak had his palace, and seems to be the place following:

and they came to Kirjathhuzoth;
which Jarchi interprets a city full of streets, a populous place, having a multitude of men, women, and children in the streets of it; and the same writer suggests as if Balak's view in this was to move the pity of Balaam, that such a number of people might not be rooted out and destroyed.

37 Balac le dijo a Balán:—¿Acaso no te mandé llamar? ¿Por qué no viniste a mí? ¿Crees que no soy capaz de recompensarte?

38 —¡Bueno, ya estoy aquí! —contestó Balán—. Solo que no podré decir nada que Dios no ponga en mi boca.

39 De allí se fueron Balán y Balac a Quiriat Jusot.

40 Balac ofreció en sacrificio vacas y ovejas, y las compartió con Balán y los gobernantes que estaban con él.

41 A la mañana siguiente, Balac llevó a Balán a Bamot Baal, desde donde Balán pudo ver parte del campamento israelita.
