Ver. 12-22. And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night
From hence, to the end of the chapter, much the same things are related as in ( 1 Kings 9:2-9 ) , (See Gill on 1 Kings 9:2), (See Gill on 1 Kings 9:3), (See Gill on 1 Kings 9:4), (See Gill on 1 Kings 9:5), (See Gill on 1 Kings 9:6), (See Gill on 1 Kings 9:7), (See Gill on 1 Kings 9:8), (See Gill on 1 Kings 9:9), excepting ( 2 Chronicles 7:13-15 ) which contain an answer to the particular requests made by Solomon in case of a famine or pestilence, that when the people of Israel should humble themselves in prayer and supplication, the Lord would be attentive to them, and forgive them, ( 2 Chronicles 6:26-30 ) and which is given as a specimen, and as encouragement to expect the same treatment in all other cases mentioned in Solomon's prayer, they so behaving.

10 El día veintitrés del mes séptimo, Salomón envió al pueblo a sus casas, y ellos regresaron contentos y llenos de alegría por el bien que el SEÑOR había hecho en favor de David, de Salomón y de su pueblo Israel.

11 Cuando Salomón terminó el templo del SEÑOR y el palacio real, llevando a feliz término todo lo que se había propuesto hacer en ellos,

12 el SEÑOR se le apareció una noche y le dijo:«He escuchado tu oración, y he escogido este templo para que en él se me ofrezcan sacrificios.

13 Cuando yo cierre los cielos para que no llueva, o le ordene a la langosta que devore la tierra, o envíe pestes sobre mi pueblo,

14 si mi pueblo, que lleva mi nombre, se humilla y ora, y me busca y abandona su mala conducta, yo lo escucharé desde el cielo, perdonaré su pecado y restauraré su tierra.
