Deuteronomy 2:32

Then Sihon came out against us
Perceiving they were upon their march towards his land or into it, he gathered all his people and went out of Heshbon their capital city, where he resided:

he and all his people, to fight at Jahaz;
a city which he had taken from the king of Moab, and which in later times, after the captivity of the ten tribes, came into their hands again, ( Isaiah 15:4 ) ( Jeremiah 48:21 ) , (See Gill on Numbers 21:21).

30 Mas Seom, rei de Hesbom, não quis deixar-nos passar; pois o SENHOR, o Deus de vocês, tornou-lhe obstinado o espírito e endureceu-lhe o coração, para entregá-lo nas mãos de vocês, como hoje se vê.
31 “O SENHOR me disse: ‘Estou entregando a você Seom e sua terra. Comece a ocupação, tome posse da terra dele!’
32 “Então Seom saiu à batalha contra nós em Jaza, com todo o seu exército.
33 Mas o SENHOR, o nosso Deus, entregou-o a nós, e o derrotamos, a ele, aos seus filhos e a todo o seu exército.
34 Naquela ocasião conquistamos todas as suas cidades e as destruímos totalmente, matando homens, mulheres e crianças, sem deixar nenhum sobrevivente.
