39 Depois eu a entregarei nas mãos de seus amantes, e eles despedaçarão os seus outeiros e destruirão os seus santuários elevados. Eles arrancarão as suas roupas e apanharão as suas joias finas e a deixarão nua.

Ezekiel 16:39

And I also will give thee into their hand
Into the hand of their lovers and enemies that should be gathered against them, the Assyrians and Chaldeans, with others that joined them, as in ( Ezekiel 16:37 ) ; and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and shall break down
thine high places;
the city of Jerusalem, the temple, and altars; and not only these, but even the high places and altars which were set up for idolatrous uses; all should be destroyed by the Chaldean army. The Targum is,

``and they shall destroy thy walls, and thy high places shall be destroyed:''

they shall strip thee also of thy clothes;
as persons commonly are when taken captives: and shall take thy fair jewels;
or, "the vessels of thy glory" ^F19; the vessels of the sanctuary of gold and silver, and their own household furniture, with all their riches and substance: and leave thee naked and bare;
as at first when in Egypt; see ( Ezekiel 16:7 ) .

38 Eu a condenarei ao castigo determinado para mulheres que cometem adultério e que derramam sangue; trarei sobre você a vingança de sangue da minha ira e da indignação que o meu ciúme provoca.

39 Depois eu a entregarei nas mãos de seus amantes, e eles despedaçarão os seus outeiros e destruirão os seus santuários elevados. Eles arrancarão as suas roupas e apanharão as suas joias finas e a deixarão nua.

40 Trarão uma multidão contra você, que a apedrejará e com suas espadas a despedaçará.

41 Eles destruirão a fogo as suas casas e infligirão a você castigo à vista de muitas mulheres. Porei fim à sua prostituição, e você não pagará mais nada aos seus amantes.
