Ezequiel 20:21

21 “Mas os filhos se rebelaram contra mim—não agiram de acordo com os meus decretos, não tiveram o cuidado de obedecer às minhas leis, mesmo sabendo que aquele que a elas obedecer por elas viverá, e profanaram os meus sábados. Por isso eu disse que derramaria a minha ira sobre eles e lançaria o meu furor contra eles no deserto.

Ezekiel 20:21

Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me
After the death of their fathers, when they were come into the plains of Moab, and just going to enter the land; they rebelled against the Lord, and greatly provoked him, by joining themselves to Baalpeor, the idol of Moab, they worshipped, ( Numbers 25:3 ) ; they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them;
they did as their fathers before them; though they saw with their eyes the judgments of God upon them, yet this did not deter them from following their evil ways: which [if] a man do, he shall even live in them;

just as their fathers had done, taking no warning by them, and what befell them: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish mine
anger against them in the wilderness;
twenty and four thousand died on account of the idolatry of Baalpeor, ( Numbers 25:9 ) .

19 Eu sou o SENHOR, o seu Deus; ajam conforme os meus decretos e tenham o cuidado de obedecer às minhas leis.
20 Santifiquem os meus sábados, para que eles sejam um sinal entre nós. Então vocês saberão que eu sou o SENHOR, o seu Deus.
21 “Mas os filhos se rebelaram contra mim—não agiram de acordo com os meus decretos, não tiveram o cuidado de obedecer às minhas leis, mesmo sabendo que aquele que a elas obedecer por elas viverá, e profanaram os meus sábados. Por isso eu disse que derramaria a minha ira sobre eles e lançaria o meu furor contra eles no deserto.
22 Mas contive o meu braço e, por amor do meu nome, agi, evitando que o meu nome fosse profanado aos olhos das nações à vista das quais eu os havia tirado do Egito.
23 Com mão erguida, também jurei a eles no deserto que os espalharia entre as nações e os dispersaria por outras terras,
