Luke 6:14

Simon, whom he also named Peter
Which signifies a rock, or stone, as Cephas also does, see ( John 1:42 ) from his constancy, steadfastness, and solidity:

and Andrew his brother;
who was called at the same time with him, and were brethren, both in nature and grace:

James and John:
the two sons of Zebedee, who were called next:

Philip and Bartholomew;
the latter of these is by some thought to be Nathanael.

12 Num daqueles dias, Jesus saiu para o monte a fim de orar, e passou a noite orando a Deus.
13 Ao amanhecer, chamou seus discípulos e escolheu doze deles, a quem também designou apóstolos:
14 Simão, a quem deu o nome de Pedro; seu irmão André; Tiago; João; Filipe; Bartolomeu;
15 Mateus; Tomé; Tiago, filho de Alfeu; Simão, chamado zelote;
16 Judas, filho de Tiago; e Judas Iscariotes, que veio a ser o traidor.
