Luke 6:19

And the whole multitude sought to touch him
That is, the multitude of those that were sick and possessed; for they were persuaded, and they found it true by experience, that if they could but touch any part of his body, or his garments, they should be cured of their diseases:

for there went virtue out of him;
in great abundance, as water from a fountain; without his speaking a word, or using any gesture, such as laying his hands on them:

and they were healed;
in this secret and private way, of whatsoever disease they were afflicted with.

17 Jesus desceu com eles e parou num lugar plano. Estavam ali muitos dos seus discípulos e uma imensa multidão procedente de toda a Judeia, de Jerusalém e do litoral de Tiro e de Sidom,
18 que vieram para ouvi-lo e serem curados de suas doenças. Os que eram perturbados por espíritos imundos ficaram curados,
19 e todos procuravam tocar nele, porque dele saía poder que curava todos.
20 Olhando para os seus discípulos, ele disse:“Bem-aventurados vocês os pobres,pois a vocês pertence o Reino de Deus.
21 Bem-aventurados vocês que agora têm fome,pois serão satisfeitos.Bem-aventurados vocês que agora choram,pois haverão de rir.
