16 Andando à beira do mar da Galileia, Jesus viu Simão e seu irmão André lançando redes ao mar, pois eram pescadores.

Mark 1:16

Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee
The same with the sea of Tiberias, ( John 6:1 ) ,

he saw Simon:
whose surname was Peter, the son of Jonas:

and Andrew his brother;
the brother of Simon,

casting a net into the sea;
of Galilee, in order to catch fish:

for they were fishers:
by occupation, this was their trade and business, by which they got their livelihood; (See Gill on Matthew 4:18).

14 Depois que João foi preso, Jesus foi para a Galileia, proclamando as boas-novas de Deus.

15 “O tempo é chegado”, dizia ele. “O Reino de Deus está próximo. Arrependam-se e creiam nas boas-novas!”

17 E disse Jesus: “Sigam-me, e eu os farei pescadores de homens”.

18 No mesmo instante eles deixaram as suas redes e o seguiram.
