22 Diante disso ele ficou abatido e afastou-se triste, porque tinha muitas riquezas.

Mark 10:22

And, he was sad at that saying
That he lacked one thing, and especially that he should be bid to sell all that he had, and give it away; and what might add to his sadness is, that he must take up the cross of reproach, affliction, persecution, and death; his countenance fell upon this,

and went away grieved:
finding that he must part with two things his heart was set upon, his idol of self-righteousness, and his mammon of unrighteousness; the bladder of his pride was pricked, and his vanity and self-conceit were exposed; and he was called upon to part with his substance; all which were sadly mortifying, and exceedingly disagreeable to him:

20 E ele declarou: “Mestre, a tudo isso tenho obedecido desde a minha adolescĂȘncia”.
21 Jesus olhou para ele e o amou. “Falta uma coisa para vocĂȘ”, disse ele. “VĂĄ, venda tudo o que vocĂȘ possui e dĂȘ o dinheiro aos pobres, e vocĂȘ terĂĄ um tesouro no cĂ©u. Depois, venha e siga-me”.
22 Diante disso ele ficou abatido e afastou-se triste, porque tinha muitas riquezas.
23 Jesus olhou ao redor e disse aos seus discĂ­pulos: “Como Ă© difĂ­cil aos ricos entrar no Reino de Deus!”
24 Os discĂ­pulos ficaram admirados com essas palavras. Mas Jesus repetiu: “Filhos, como Ă© difĂ­cil entrar no Reino de Deus!
