Mark 10:7

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother
The Persic version adds, "and brethren and sisters", though without any foundation in the original text, in ( Genesis 2:24 ) , from whence this passage is cited; or in any copy of the evangelist:

and cleave to his wife; (See Gill on Matthew 19:5).

5 Respondeu Jesus: “Moisés escreveu essa lei por causa da dureza de coração de vocês.

6 Mas no princípio da criação Deus ‘os fez homem e mulher’.

7 ‘Por esta razão, o homem deixará pai e mãe e se unirá à sua mulher,

8 e os dois se tornarão uma só carne’. Assim, eles já não são dois, mas sim uma só carne.

9 Portanto, o que Deus uniu, ninguém o separe”.
