8 Viste que o coração dele era fiel, e fizeste com ele uma aliança, prometendo dar aos seus descendentes a terra dos cananeus, dos hititas, dos amorreus, dos ferezeus, dos jebuseus e dos girgaseus. E cumpriste a tua promessa porque tu és justo.

Nehemiah 9:8

And foundest his heart faithful before thee
A true believer in his word and promises, ( Genesis 15:6 ) and closely attached to the fear of him, and observance of his commands, as abundantly appeared in the trial of him, in offering up his son, ( Genesis 22:1 Genesis 22:2 Genesis 22:12 ) ,

and madest a covenant with him, to give the land of the Canaanites,
the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites,
and the Girgashites, to give it, [I say], to his seed;
not to him personally, but to his posterity, at least including and chiefly designing them; of which covenant see ( Genesis 15:18-21 ) ,

and hast performed thy words,
for thou art righteous; in all his ways and works, faithful to his promise, a covenant keeping God, and who kept and fulfilled this covenant, assisting Joshua to conquer the land of Canaan, and put Israel into the possession of it.

6 Só tu és o SENHOR. Fizeste os céus, e os mais altos céus, e tudo o que neles há, a terra e tudo o que nela existe, os mares e tudo o que neles existe. Tu deste vida a todos os seres, e os exércitos dos céus te adoram.

7 “Tu és o SENHOR, o Deus que escolheu Abrão, trouxe-o de Ur dos caldeus e deu-lhe o nome de Abraão.

9 “Viste o sofrimento dos nossos antepassados no Egito, e ouviste o clamor deles no mar Vermelho.

10 Fizeste sinais e maravilhas contra o faraó e todos os seus oficiais e contra todo o povo da sua terra, pois sabias com quanta arrogância os egípcios os tratavam. Alcançaste renome, que permanece até hoje.
