Psalms 69:7

Because for thy sake I have borne reproach
Being reckoned a sinner, called a deceiver, said to be a Samaritan, and to have a devil; with many other reproaches, which he bore patiently for the sake of the word and worship of God, and for the sake of the glory of God, which he all along sought; and to repair the loss of it, which was sustained through the sin of man;

shame hath covered my face;
when he was spit upon by some, and smote by others with a rod upon his cheek; and when he was blindfolded, and bid to prophesy who smote him; see ( Isaiah 50:6 ) .

5 Tu bem sabes como fui insensato, ó Deus;a minha culpa não te é encoberta.
6 Não se decepcionem por minha causaaqueles que esperam em ti,ó Senhor, SENHOR dos Exércitos!Não se frustrem por minha causaos que te buscam, ó Deus de Israel!
7 Pois por amor a ti suporto zombaria,e a vergonha cobre-me o rosto.
8 Sou um estrangeiro para os meus irmãos,um estranho até para os filhos da minha mãe;
9 pois o zelo pela tua casa me consome,e os insultos daqueles que te insultam caem sobre mim.
