27 Nous irons le chemin de trois jours dans le désert, et nous sacrifierons à l'Éternel notre Dieu, comme il nous dira.

Exodus 8:27

We will go three days' journey into the wilderness
As was first insisted on, and from which demand they should not depart:

and sacrifice unto the Lord our God, as he shall command us;
both what sacrifices shall be offered, and the manner in which they shall be done, both which seemed for the present in a good measure undetermined and unknown; and therefore it was possible, and very probable, that in one or the other they should give offence to the Egyptians, should they sacrifice among them, being at all events resolved to do as the Lord should command them.

25 Alors Pharaon appela Moïse et Aaron, et dit: Allez, sacrifiez à votre Dieu dans le pays.

26 Mais Moïse dit: Il n'est pas convenable de faire ainsi; car ce que nous sacrifierions à l'Éternel notre Dieu, serait en abomination aux Égyptiens. Voici, si nous offrions, sous leurs yeux, des sacrifices qui sont en abomination aux Égyptiens, ne nous lapideraient-ils pas?

28 Alors Pharaon dit: Je vous laisserai aller pour sacrifier à l'Éternel votre Dieu dans le désert, seulement vous n'irez pas plus loin. Intercédez pour moi.

29 Et Moïse dit: Voici, je sors d'auprès de toi, et j'intercéderai auprès de l'Éternel; et demain les insectes s'éloigneront de Pharaon, de ses serviteurs, et de son peuple. Seulement que Pharaon ne continue point à tromper, en ne laissant point aller le peuple pour sacrifier à l'Éternel.
