1 El tabernáculo queda terminado<br />Luego el Señor<br /> le dijo a Moisés:

2 «Levanta el tabernáculo<br /> el primer día del nuevo año.

3 Coloca adentro el arca del pacto<br /> y cuelga la cortina interior para encerrar el arca dentro del Lugar Santísimo.

4 Luego manda traer la mesa y acomoda los utensilios sobre ella. Además manda traer el candelabro e instala las lámparas.

5 »Ubica el altar de oro para el incienso frente al arca del pacto. Después cuelga la cortina en la entrada del tabernáculo.

6 Coloca el altar de las ofrendas quemadas delante de la entrada del tabernáculo.

7 Pon el lavamanos entre el tabernáculo<br /> y el altar, y llénalo de agua.

8 Luego arma el atrio alrededor de la carpa y cuelga la cortina de la entrada al atrio.

9 »Toma el aceite de la unción y unge el tabernáculo junto con todo el mobiliario, a fin de consagrarlos y para que queden santos.

10 Unge el altar de las ofrendas quemadas y sus utensilios, a fin de consagrarlos. Entonces el altar será completamente santo.

11 Luego unge el lavamanos y su base, a fin de consagrarlos.

12 »Lleva a Aarón y a sus hijos a la entrada del tabernáculo y lávalos con agua.

13 Ponle a Aarón las vestiduras sagradas y úngelo, así quedará consagrado para servirme como sacerdote.

14 Luego haz que se acerquen sus hijos y vístelos con sus túnicas.

15 Úngelos como ungiste a su padre, para que ellos también me sirvan como sacerdotes. Al ungirlos, los descendientes de Aarón quedan apartados para el sacerdocio por siempre, de generación en generación».

16 Moisés hizo todo lo que el Señor<br /> le había ordenado.

17 Así que el tabernáculo fue armado el primer día del primer mes del segundo año.

18 Moisés levantó el tabernáculo: primero situó las bases, encajó los soportes, fijó los travesaños y colocó los postes.

19 Luego extendió las cubiertas sobre el armazón del tabernáculo y puso las capas protectoras encima, tal como el Señor<br /> le había ordenado.

20 Entonces tomó las tablas de piedra grabadas con las condiciones del pacto y las puso<br /> dentro del arca. Después sujetó al arca las varas para transportarla y a la tapa del arca —el lugar de la expiación— la colocó encima.

21 Luego llevó el arca del pacto dentro del tabernáculo y colgó la cortina interior para protegerla de la vista, tal como el Señor<br /> le había ordenado.

22 Después Moisés ubicó la mesa en el tabernáculo, en el lado norte del Lugar Santo, justo fuera de la cortina interior;

23 y acomodó sobre la mesa el pan de la Presencia delante del Señor<br />, tal como el Señor<br /> le había ordenado.

24 Luego puso el candelabro en el tabernáculo, en dirección opuesta a la mesa, en el lado sur del Lugar Santo.

25 Entonces encendió las lámparas en la presencia del Señor<br />, tal como el Señor<br /> le había ordenado.

26 También puso en el tabernáculo el altar de oro para el incienso, en el Lugar Santo, delante de la cortina interior;

27 y quemó el incienso aromático sobre el altar, tal como el Señor<br /> le había ordenado.

28 Después colgó la cortina a la entrada del tabernáculo,

29 y ubicó el altar de las ofrendas quemadas cerca de la entrada del santuario. Entonces presentó una ofrenda quemada y una ofrenda de grano sobre el altar, tal como el Señor<br /> le había ordenado.

30 Luego Moisés instaló el lavamanos entre el tabernáculo y el altar, y lo llenó de agua para que los sacerdotes pudieran lavarse.

31 Moisés, Aarón y los hijos de Aarón sacaban agua del lavamanos para lavarse las manos y los pies.

32 Se lavaban cada vez que se acercaban al altar o entraban al tabernáculo, tal como el Señor<br /> le había ordenado a Moisés.

33 Después Moisés colgó las cortinas que daban forma al atrio que rodea el tabernáculo y el altar. Por último levantó la cortina en la entrada del atrio. Así por fin terminó Moisés el trabajo.

34 La gloria del Señor<br /> llena el tabernáculo<br />Entonces la nube cubrió el tabernáculo, y la gloria del Señor<br /> llenó el tabernáculo.

35 Moisés no podía entrar en el tabernáculo, porque la nube se había posado allí, y la gloria del Señor<br /> llenaba el tabernáculo.

36 Cada vez que la nube se levantaba del tabernáculo, el pueblo de Israel se ponía en marcha y la seguía.

37 Pero si la nube no se levantaba, ellos permanecían donde estaban hasta que la nube se elevaba.

38 Durante el día, la nube del Señor<br /> quedaba en el aire sobre el tabernáculo y, durante la noche, resplandecía fuego dentro de ella, de modo que toda la familia de Israel podía ver la nube. Eso mismo ocurrió durante todos sus viajes.

1 Then the LORD said to Moses:

2 “Set up the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, on the first day of the first month.

3 Place the ark of the covenant law in it and shield the ark with the curtain.

4 Bring in the table and set out what belongs on it. Then bring in the lampstand and set up its lamps.

5 Place the gold altar of incense in front of the ark of the covenant law and put the curtain at the entrance to the tabernacle.

6 “Place the altar of burnt offering in front of the entrance to the tabernacle, the tent of meeting;

7 place the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar and put water in it.

8 Set up the courtyard around it and put the curtain at the entrance to the courtyard.

9 “Take the anointing oil and anoint the tabernacle and everything in it; consecrate it and all its furnishings, and it will be holy.

10 Then anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils; consecrate the altar, and it will be most holy.

11 Anoint the basin and its stand and consecrate them.

12 “Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the tent of meeting and wash them with water.

13 Then dress Aaron in the sacred garments, anoint him and consecrate him so he may serve me as priest.

14 Bring his sons and dress them in tunics.

15 Anoint them just as you anointed their father, so they may serve me as priests. Their anointing will be to a priesthood that will continue throughout their generations.”

16 Moses did everything just as the LORD commanded him.

17 So the tabernacle was set up on the first day of the first month in the second year.

18 When Moses set up the tabernacle, he put the bases in place, erected the frames, inserted the crossbars and set up the posts.

19 Then he spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering over the tent, as the LORD commanded him.

20 He took the tablets of the covenant law and placed them in the ark, attached the poles to the ark and put the atonement cover over it.

21 Then he brought the ark into the tabernacle and hung the shielding curtain and shielded the ark of the covenant law, as the LORD commanded him.

22 Moses placed the table in the tent of meeting on the north side of the tabernacle outside the curtain

23 and set out the bread on it before the LORD, as the LORD commanded him.

24 He placed the lampstand in the tent of meeting opposite the table on the south side of the tabernacle

25 and set up the lamps before the LORD, as the LORD commanded him.

26 Moses placed the gold altar in the tent of meeting in front of the curtain

27 and burned fragrant incense on it, as the LORD commanded him.

28 Then he put up the curtain at the entrance to the tabernacle.

29 He set the altar of burnt offering near the entrance to the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, and offered on it burnt offerings and grain offerings, as the LORD commanded him.

30 He placed the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar and put water in it for washing,

31 and Moses and Aaron and his sons used it to wash their hands and feet.

32 They washed whenever they entered the tent of meeting or approached the altar, as the LORD commanded Moses.

33 Then Moses set up the courtyard around the tabernacle and altar and put up the curtain at the entrance to the courtyard. And so Moses finished the work.

34 Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

35 Moses could not enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

36 In all the travels of the Israelites, whenever the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle, they would set out;

37 but if the cloud did not lift, they did not set out—until the day it lifted.

38 So the cloud of the LORD was over the tabernacle by day, and fire was in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the Israelites during all their travels.
