LEB 1 And Bezalel and Oholiab and everyone [who is] skilled of heart in whom Yahweh has put wisdom and skill to know and to do all the work for the service of the sanctuary--[they] will do [it], according to all that Yahweh has commanded." NIV 1 So Bezalel, Oholiab and every skilled person to whom the LORD has given skill and ability to know how to carry out all the work of constructing the sanctuary are to do the work just as the LORD has commanded.” LEB 2 And Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and everyone skilled of heart, in whose heart Yahweh had put skill, all whose heart lifted him to come near to the work in order to do it. NIV 2 Then Moses summoned Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person to whom the LORD had given ability and who was willing to come and do the work. LEB 3 And they took from Moses all the contributions that the {Israelites} had brought for the work of the service for the sanctuary in order to do it, and they still brought to him voluntary offerings {every morning}. NIV 3 They received from Moses all the offerings the Israelites had brought to carry out the work of constructing the sanctuary. And the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning. LEB 4 And all the skilled [workers who were] doing all the work for the sanctuary came, {each} from his work that they were doing. NIV 4 So all the skilled workers who were doing all the work on the sanctuary left what they were doing LEB 5 And they said to Moses, saying, "The people are {bringing more} than enough for the service of the work that Yahweh has commanded {to be done}." NIV 5 and said to Moses, “The people are bringing more than enough for doing the work the LORD commanded to be done.” LEB 6 And Moses commanded, and they {proclaimed the message} in the camp, saying, "Let no man or woman again make anything for the sanctuary contribution." And so the people were restrained from bringing. NIV 6 Then Moses gave an order and they sent this word throughout the camp: “No man or woman is to make anything else as an offering for the sanctuary.” And so the people were restrained from bringing more, LEB 7 And the material was enough for doing all the work, and it was left over. NIV 7 because what they already had was more than enough to do all the work. LEB 8 And all who were skilled of heart among the doers of the work made the tabernacle [with] ten curtains of finely twisted linen and blue and purple and crimson [yarns], [with] cherubim; he made them, the work of a skilled craftsman. NIV 8 All those who were skilled among the workers made the tabernacle with ten curtains of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn, with cherubim woven into them by expert hands. LEB 9 The length of the one curtain [was] twenty-eight cubits, and the width [was] four cubits [for] the one curtain; one measurement [was] for all the curtains. NIV 9 All the curtains were the same size—twenty-eight cubits long and four cubits wide. LEB 10 And he joined five of the curtains {one to another}, and five curtains he joined {one to another}. NIV 10 They joined five of the curtains together and did the same with the other five. LEB 11 And he made loops of blue on the edge of the one curtain, at the end in the set; so he did on the edge of the end curtain in the second set. NIV 11 Then they made loops of blue material along the edge of the end curtain in one set, and the same was done with the end curtain in the other set. LEB 12 He made fifty loops on the one curtain, and he made fifty loops on the end of the curtain that [was] in the second set; the loops were opposite {one to another}. NIV 12 They also made fifty loops on one curtain and fifty loops on the end curtain of the other set, with the loops opposite each other. LEB 13 And he made fifty gold clasps and joined the curtains {one to another} with the clasps, so that the tabernacle was one. NIV 13 Then they made fifty gold clasps and used them to fasten the two sets of curtains together so that the tabernacle was a unit. LEB 14 And he made curtains of goat hair for a tent over the tabernacle; he made them eleven curtains. NIV 14 They made curtains of goat hair for the tent over the tabernacle—eleven altogether. LEB 15 The length of the one curtain [was] thirty cubits, and the width [was] four cubits [for] the one curtain; one measure [was] for [the] eleven curtains. NIV 15 All eleven curtains were the same size—thirty cubits long and four cubits wide. LEB 16 And he joined five curtains together and six curtains together. NIV 16 They joined five of the curtains into one set and the other six into another set.
