CEB 1 When anyone presents a grain offering to the LORD, the offering must be of choice flour. They must pour oil on it and put frankincense on it, NRS 1 When anyone presents a grain offering to the Lord, the offering shall be of choice flour; the worshiper shall pour oil on it, and put frankincense on it, CEB 2 then bring it to Aaron's sons, the priests. A priest will take a handful of its choice flour and oil, along with all of its frankincense, and will completely burn this token portion on the altar as a food gift of soothing smell to the LORD. NRS 2 and bring it to Aaron's sons the priests. After taking from it a handful of the choice flour and oil, with all its frankincense, the priest shall turn this token portion into smoke on the altar, an offering by fire of pleasing odor to the Lord. CEB 3 The rest of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons as a most holy portion from the LORD's food gifts. NRS 3 And what is left of the grain offering shall be for Aaron and his sons, a most holy part of the offerings by fire to the Lord. CEB 4 When you present a grain offering baked in an oven, it must be of choice flour: unleavened flatbread mixed with oil or unleavened wafers spread with oil. NRS 4 When you present a grain offering baked in the oven, it shall be of choice flour: unleavened cakes mixed with oil, or unleavened wafers spread with oil. CEB 5 If your offering is grain prepared on a griddle, it must be of choice flour mixed with oil and it must be unleavened. NRS 5 If your offering is grain prepared on a griddle, it shall be of choice flour mixed with oil, unleavened; CEB 6 Crumble it into pieces and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering. NRS 6 break it in pieces, and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering. CEB 7 If your offering is grain prepared in a pan, it must be made of choice flour with oil. NRS 7 If your offering is grain prepared in a pan, it shall be made of choice flour in oil. CEB 8 You will bring the grain offering made in one of these ways to the LORD, presenting it to the priest, who will then bring it to the altar. NRS 8 You shall bring to the Lord the grain offering that is prepared in any of these ways; and when it is presented to the priest, he shall take it to the altar. CEB 9 The priest will remove from the grain offering the token portion and completely burn it on the altar as a food gift of soothing smell to the LORD. NRS 9 The priest shall remove from the grain offering its token portion and turn this into smoke on the altar, an offering by fire of pleasing odor to the Lord. CEB 10 The rest of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons as a most holy portion from the LORD's food gifts. NRS 10 And what is left of the grain offering shall be for Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the offerings by fire to the Lord. CEB 11 No grain offering that you give to the LORD can be made with yeast. You must not completely burn any yeast or honey as a food gift for the LORD. NRS 11 No grain offering that you bring to the Lord shall be made with leaven, for you must not turn any leaven or honey into smoke as an offering by fire to the Lord. CEB 12 You can present those as first-choice offerings to the LORD, but they must not be entirely burned up on the altar as a soothing smell. NRS 12 You may bring them to the Lord as an offering of choice products, but they shall not be offered on the altar for a pleasing odor. CEB 13 You must season all your grain offerings with salt. Do not omit the salt of your God's covenant from your grain offering. You must offer salt with all your offerings. NRS 13 You shall not omit from your grain offerings the salt of the covenant with your God; with all your offerings you shall offer salt. CEB 14 If you present a grain offering to the LORD from the first produce, you must make such an offering from the crushed heads of newly ripe grain, roasted with fire. NRS 14 If you bring a grain offering of first fruits to the Lord, you shall bring as the grain offering of your first fruits coarse new grain from fresh ears, parched with fire. CEB 15 You must put oil and frankincense on it; it is a grain offering. NRS 15 You shall add oil to it and lay frankincense on it; it is a grain offering. CEB 16 The priest will completely burn the token portion—some of the crushed new grain and oil along with all of the frankincense—as a food gift for the LORD. NRS 16 And the priest shall turn a token portion of it into smoke—some of the coarse grain and oil with all its frankincense; it is an offering by fire to the Lord.
