Luke 13:31-35

ESV 31 At that very hour some Pharisees came and said to him, "Get away from here, for Herod wants to kill you." MSG 31 Just then some Pharisees came up and said, "Run for your life! Herod's on the hunt. He's out to kill you!" ESV 32 And he said to them, "Go and tell that fox, 'Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I finish my course. MSG 32 Jesus said, "Tell that fox that I've no time for him right now. Today and tomorrow I'm busy clearing out the demons and healing the sick; the third day I'm wrapping things up. ESV 33 Nevertheless, I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the day following, for it cannot be that a prophet should perish away from Jerusalem.' MSG 33 Besides, it's not proper for a prophet to come to a bad end outside Jerusalem. ESV 34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not! MSG 34 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, killer of prophets, abuser of the messengers of God! How often I've longed to gather your children, gather your children like a hen, Her brood safe under her wings - but you refused and turned away! ESV 35 Behold, your house is forsaken. And I tell you, you will not see me until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!'" MSG 35 And now it's too late: You won't see me again until the day you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of God.'"
