Philippians 4

CEB 1 Therefore, my brothers and sisters whom I love and miss, who are my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord. Loved ones, NRS 1 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, my beloved. CEB 2 I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to come to an agreement in the Lord. NRS 2 I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord. CEB 3 Yes, and I'm also asking you, loyal friend, to help these women who have struggled together with me in the ministry of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my coworkers whose names are in the scroll of life. NRS 3 Yes, and I ask you also, my loyal companion, help these women, for they have struggled beside me in the work of the gospel, together with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are in the book of life. CEB 4 Be glad in the Lord always! Again I say, be glad! NRS 4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. CEB 5 Let your gentleness show in your treatment of all people. The Lord is near. NRS 5 Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. CEB 6 Don't be anxious about anything; rather, bring up all of your requests to God in your prayers and petitions, along with giving thanks. NRS 6 Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. CEB 7 Then the peace of God that exceeds all understanding will keep your hearts and minds safe in Christ Jesus. NRS 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. CEB 8 From now on, brothers and sisters, if anything is excellent and if anything is admirable, focus your thoughts on these things: all that is true, all that is holy, all that is just, all that is pure, all that is lovely, and all that is worthy of praise. NRS 8 Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. CEB 9 Practice these things: whatever you learned, received, heard, or saw in us. The God of peace will be with you. NRS 9 Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you. CEB 10 I was very glad in the Lord because now at last you have shown concern for me again. (Of course you were always concerned but had no way to show it.) NRS 10 I rejoice in the Lord greatly that now at last you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned for me, but had no opportunity to show it. CEB 11 I'm not saying this because I need anything, for I have learned how to be content in any circumstance. NRS 11 Not that I am referring to being in need; for I have learned to be content with whatever I have. CEB 12 I know the experience of being in need and of having more than enough; I have learned the secret to being content in any and every circumstance, whether full or hungry or whether having plenty or being poor. NRS 12 I know what it is to have little, and I know what it is to have plenty. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being well-fed and of going hungry, of having plenty and of being in need. CEB 13 I can endure all these things through the power of the one who gives me strength. NRS 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me. CEB 14 Still, you have done well to share my distress. NRS 14 In any case, it was kind of you to share my distress. CEB 15 You Philippians know from the time of my first mission work in Macedonia how no church shared in supporting my ministry except you. NRS 15 You Philippians indeed know that in the early days of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you alone. CEB 16 You sent contributions repeatedly to take care of my needs even while I was in Thessalonica. NRS 16 For even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me help for my needs more than once. CEB 17 I'm not hoping for a gift, but I am hoping for a profit that accumulates in your account. NRS 17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the profit that accumulates to your account. CEB 18 I now have plenty and it is more than enough. I am full to overflowing because I received the gifts that you sent from Epaphroditus. Those gifts give off a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice that pleases God. NRS 18 I have been paid in full and have more than enough; I am fully satisfied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. CEB 19 My God will meet your every need out of his riches in the glory that is found in Christ Jesus. NRS 19 And my God will fully satisfy every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. CEB 20 Let glory be given to God our Father forever and always. Amen. NRS 20 To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen. CEB 21 Greet all God's people in Christ Jesus. The brothers and sisters with me send you their greeting. NRS 21 Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The friends who are with me greet you. CEB 22 All God's people here, especially those in Caesar's household, send you their greeting. NRS 22 All the saints greet you, especially those of the emperor's household. CEB 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirits. NRS 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
