1 Yo soy la rosa de Sarón, el lirio de los valles. EL ESPOSO:

2 Como el lirio entre los espinos, así es mi amada entre las doncellas. LA ESPOSA:

3 Como el manzano entre los árboles del bosque, así es mi amado entre los jóvenes. A su sombra placentera me he sentado, y su fruto es dulce a mi paladar.

4 El me ha traído a la sala del banquete, y su estandarte sobre mí es el amor.

5 Sustentadme con tortas de pasas, reanimadme con manzanas, porque estoy enferma de amor.

6 Esté su izquierda bajo mi cabeza y su derecha me abrace. EL ESPOSO:

7 Yo os conjuro, oh hijas de Jerusalén, por las gacelas o por las ciervas del campo, que no levantéis ni despertéis a mi amor, hasta que quiera. LA ESPOSA:

8 ¡Una voz! ¡Mi amado! He aquí, él viene, saltando por los montes, brincando por los collados.

9 Mi amado es semejante a una gacela o a un cervatillo. He aquí, se detiene detrás de nuestro muro, mirando por las ventanas, atisbando por las celosías.

10 Mi amado habló, y me dijo: "Levántate, amada mía, hermosa mía, y ven conmigo.

11 "Pues mira, ha pasado el invierno, ha cesado la lluvia y se ha ido.

12 "Han aparecido las flores en la tierra; ha llegado el tiempo de la poda , y se oye la voz de la tórtola en nuestra tierra.

13 "La higuera ha madurado sus higos, y las vides en flor han esparcido su fragancia. Levántate amada mía, hermosa mía, y ven conmigo." EL ESPOSO:

14 Paloma mía, en las grietas de la peña, en lo secreto de la senda escarpada, déjame ver tu semblante, déjame oír tu voz; porque tu voz es dulce, y precioso tu semblante. EL CORO:

15 Cazadnos las zorras, las zorras pequeñas que arruinan las viñas, pues nuestras viñas están en flor. LA ESPOSA:

16 Mi amado es mío, y yo soy suya; él apacienta su rebaño entre los lirios.

17 Hasta que sople la brisa del día y huyan las sombras, vuelve, amado mío, y sé semejante a una gacela o a un cervatillo sobre los montes de Beter . LA ESPOSA:

2 "Like a lily among the thorns, So is my darling among the maidens."

3 "Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest, So is my beloved among the young men. In his shade I took great delight and sat down, And his fruit was sweet to my taste.

4 "He has brought me to his banquet hall, And his banner over me is love.

5 "Sustain me with raisin cakes, Refresh me with apples, Because I am lovesick .

6 "Let his left hand be under my head And his right hand embrace me."

7 "I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, By the gazelles or by the hinds of the field, That you do not arouse or awaken my love Until she pleases."

8 "Listen! My beloved! Behold, he is coming, Climbing on the mountains, Leaping on the hills!
