CEBA 1 The LORD spoke to Moses: NIV 1 Then the LORD said to Moses, CEBA 2 Look, I have chosen Bezalel, Uri's son and Hur's grandson from the tribe of Judah. NIV 2 “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, CEBA 3 I have filled him with the divine spirit, with skill, ability, and knowledge for every kind of work. NIV 3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— CEBA 4 He will be able to create designs; do metalwork in gold, silver, and copper; NIV 4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, CEBA 5 cut stones for setting; carve wood; and do every kind of work. NIV 5 to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts. CEBA 6 I have also appointed with him Oholiab, Ahisamach's son from the tribe of Dan. To all who are skillful, I have given the skill to make everything that I have commanded you: NIV 6 Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you: CEBA 7 the meeting tent, the chest containing the covenant, the cover that is on top of it, all the tent's furnishings, NIV 7 the tent of meeting, the ark of the covenant law with the atonement cover on it, and all the other furnishings of the tent— CEBA 8 the table and its equipment, the pure lampstand with all its equipment, the incense altar, NIV 8 the table and its articles, the pure gold lampstand and all its accessories, the altar of incense, CEBA 9 the altar for entirely burned offerings with all its equipment, the washbasin with its stand, NIV 9 the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, the basin with its stand— CEBA 10 the woven clothing, the holy clothes for Aaron the priest and for his sons for their service as priests, NIV 10 and also the woven garments, both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when they serve as priests, CEBA 11 the anointing oil, and the sweet-smelling incense for the sanctuary. They will do just as I have commanded you. NIV 11 and the anointing oil and fragrant incense for the Holy Place. They are to make them just as I commanded you.” CEBA 12 The LORD said to Moses: NIV 12 Then the LORD said to Moses, CEBA 13 Tell the Israelites: "Be sure to keep my sabbaths, because the Sabbath is a sign between me and you in every generation so you will know that I am the LORD who makes you holy. NIV 13 “Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy. CEBA 14 Keep the Sabbath, because it is holy for you. Everyone who violates the Sabbath will be put to death. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath, that person will be cut off from the people. NIV 14 “ ‘Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it is to be put to death; those who do any work on that day must be cut off from their people. CEBA 15 Do your work for six days. But the seventh day is a Sabbath of complete rest that is holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day will be put to death. NIV 15 For six days work is to be done, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day is to be put to death. CEBA 16 The Israelites should keep the Sabbath. They should observe the Sabbath in every generation as a covenant for all time. NIV 16 The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant. CEBA 17 It is a sign forever between me and the Israelites that in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day the LORD rested and was refreshed." NIV 17 It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.’ ” CEBA 18 When God finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, God gave him the two covenant tablets, the stone tablets written by God's finger. NIV 18 When the LORD finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the covenant law, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
