1 Voici les descendants des fils de Noé: Sem, Cham et Japhet, auxquels naquirent des enfants après le déluge.

0 Now these are the toldot of the Bnei Noach: Shem, Cham, and Yephet; and unto them were banim born after the mabbul (flood).
2 Les fils de Japhet sont Gomer, Magog, Madaï, Javan, Tubal, Méshec, et Tiras.

The Bnei Yephet: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Yavan, and Tuval, and Meshech, and Tiras.
3 Et les fils de Gomer, Ashkénas, Riphath, et Togarma.

And the Bnei Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Riphat, and Togarmah.
4 Et les fils de Javan, Elisha et Tarsis, Kittim et Dodanim.

And the Bnei Yavan: Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
5 Par eux furent peuplées les îles des nations, dans leurs terres, chacun selon sa langue, selon leurs familles, selon leurs nations.

By these were the coastlands of the Goyim divided in their lands; every one after his leshon, after their mishpechot, in their Goyim.
6 Et les fils de Cham, sont Cush, Mitsraïm, Put et Canaan.

And the Bnei Cham: Cush, and Mitzrayim, and Phut, and Kena’an.
7 Et les fils de Cush, Seba, Havila, Sabta, Raema et Sabteca. Et les fils de Raema, Sheba et Dedan.

And the Bnei Cush: Seva, and Chavilah, and Savtah, and Raamah, and Savtecha; and the Bnei Raamah: Sheva, and Dedan.
8 Et Cush engendra Nimrod, qui commença à être puissant sur la terre.

And Cush fathered Nimrod; he began to be a gibbor in ha’aretz.
9 Il fut un puissant chasseur devant l'Éternel. C'est pour cela qu'on dit: Comme Nimrod, puissant chasseur devant l'Éternel.

He was a gibbor, a hunter before Hashem; therefore it is said, like Nimrod the gibbor, the hunter before Hashem.
10 Et le commencement de son royaume fut Babel, Érec, Accad et Calné, dans le pays de Shinear.

And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Akkad, and Calneh, in Eretz Shinar.
11 De ce pays-là il sortit en Assyrie, et il bâtit Ninive, Rehoboth-Ir, Calach,

Out of that land he went forth to Asshur, and built Nineveh, and Rechovot-Ir, and Kelach,
12 Et Résen, entre Ninive et Calach; c'est la grande ville.

And Resen between Nineveh and Kelach; the same is haIr Hagedolah.
13 Et Mitsraïm engendra les Ludim, les Anamim, les Lehabim, les Naphtuhim,

And Mitzrayim fathered Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehavim, and Naphtuchim,
14 Les Pathrusim, les Casluhim (d'où sont sortis les Philistins) et les Caphtorim.

And Patrusim, and Casluchim, out of whom came Pelishtim (Philistines), and Caphtorim.
15 Et Canaan engendra Sidon, son premier-né, et Heth;

And Kena’an fathered Tzidon his bechor, and Chet,
16 Les Jébusiens, les Amoréens, les Guirgasiens;

And the Yevusi, and the Emori, and the Girgashi,
17 Les Héviens, les Arkiens, les Siniens;

And the Chivvi, and the Arki, and the Sini,
18 Les Arvadiens, les Tsemariens, les Hamathiens. Ensuite les familles des Cananéens se dispersèrent.

And the Arvadi, and the Tzemari, and the Chamati; and afterward were the mishpechot haKena’ani spread abroad.
19 Et la limite des Cananéens fut depuis Sidon, en venant vers Guérar, jusqu'à Gaza, en venant vers Sodome, Gomorrhe, Adma, et Tseboïm, jusqu'à Lésha.

And the boundary of the Kena’ani was from Tzidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Azah (Gaza); as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Amora (Gomorrah), and Admah, and Tzevoyim, even unto Lesha.
20 Ce sont là les fils de Cham, selon leurs familles, selon leurs langues, dans leurs terres, dans leurs nations.

These are the Bnei Cham, after their mishpechot, after their leshonot, in their territories, and in their Goyim.
21 Il naquit aussi des fils à Sem, père de tous les fils d'Héber, et frère aîné de Japhet.

Also unto Shem avi kol Bnei Ever, and the older brother of Yephet, even to him were offspring born.
22 Les fils de Sem sont Élam, Assur, Arpacshad, Lud et Aram.

The Bnei Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram.
23 Et les fils d'Aram, Uts, Hul, Guéther et Mash.

And Bnei Aram: Uz, and Chul, and Geter, and Mash.
24 Et Arpacshad engendra Shélach, et Shélach engendra Héber.

And Arpachshad fathered Shelach; and Shelach fathered Ever.
25 Et à Héber il naquit deux fils: le nom de l'un est Péleg (partage), car en son temps la terre fut partagée; et le nom de son frère, Jockthan.

And unto Ever were born two banim: the shem of one was Peleg; for in his days was ha’aretz divided; and his brother’s shem was Yoktan.
26 Et Jockthan engendra Almodad, Sheleph, Hatsarmaveth, et Jérach;

And Yoktan fathered Almodad, and Sheleph, and Chatzarmavet, and Yerach,
27 Hadoram, Uzal, Dikla,

And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
28 Obal, Abimaël, Sheba,

And Oval, and Avimael, and Sheva,
29 Ophir, Havila, et Jobab. Tous ceux-là sont fils de Jockthan.

And Ophir, and Chavilah, and Yovav; all these were the Bnei Yoktan.
30 Et leur demeure était depuis Mésha, en venant vers Sephar, vers la montagne d'Orient.

And their moshav (dwelling) was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar har hakedem.
31 Ce sont là les fils de Sem, selon leurs familles, selon leurs langues, selon leurs terres, selon leurs nations.

These are the Bnei Shem, after their mishpechot, according to their leshonot, in their territories, after their Goyim.
32 Telles sont les familles des fils de Noé, selon leurs générations, dans leurs nations; et c'est d'eux que sont sorties les nations de la terre après le déluge.

These are the mishpechot of the Bnei Noach, after their toldot, in their Goyim; and by these were the Goyim divided/separated in ha’aretz after the mabbul.
