1 Xiānzhī hǎ bā gǔ suǒ dé de mò shì .
1 The prophecy that Habakkuk the prophet received.
2 Tā shuō , Yēhéhuá a , wǒ hū qiú nǐ , nǐ bù yīngyún , yào dào jǐshí ne . wǒ yīn qiángbào āi qiú nǐ , nǐ hái bù zhĕngjiù .
2 How long, LORD, must I call for help, but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, “Violence!” but you do not save?
3 Nǐ wèihé shǐ wǒ kànjian zuìniè . nǐ wèihé kàn zhe jiān è ér bù lǐ ne . huǐmiè hé qiángbào zaì wǒ miànqián . yòu qǐ le zhēng duān hé xiāng dǒu de shì .
3 Why do you make me look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrongdoing? Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and conflict abounds.
4 Yīncǐ lǜfǎ fàng sōng , gōnglǐ yĕ bù xiǎnmíng . è rén wéi kùn yì rén . suǒyǐ gōnglǐ xiǎnrán diāndǎo .
4 Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails. The wicked hem in the righteous, so that justice is perverted.
5 Yēhéhuá shuō , nǐmen yào xiàng liè guó zhōng guānkàn , dàdà jīngqí . yīnwei zaì nǐmen de shíhou , wǒ xíng yī jiàn shì , suī yǒu rén gàosu nǐmen , nǐmen zǒngshì bù xìn .
5 “Look at the nations and watch— and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.
6 Wǒ bì xīngqǐ Jiālèdǐ rén , jiù shì nà cánrĕn bào zào zhī mín , tōng xíng biàn dì , zhān jū nà bù shǔ zìjǐ de zhù chù .
6 I am raising up the Babylonians,that ruthless and impetuous people, who sweep across the whole earth to seize dwellings not their own.
7 Tā wēi wǔ kĕ wèi . pànduàn hé shìlì , dōu rènyì fāchū .
7 They are a feared and dreaded people; they are a law to themselves and promote their own honor.
8 Tāde mǎ bǐ bào gèng kuaì , bǐ wǎnshang de chái láng gèng mĕng . mǎ bīng yǒng yuè zhēng xiān , dōu cóng yuǎnfāng ér lái , tāmen fēi paó rú yīng zhuā shí .
8 Their horses are swifter than leopards, fiercer than wolves at dusk. Their cavalry gallops headlong; their horsemen come from afar. They fly like an eagle swooping to devour;
9 Dōu wèi xíng qiángbào ér lái . déng zhù liǎnmiàn xiàng qián , jiāng lǔlǜe de rén jùjí , duō rú chén shā .
9 they all come intent on violence. Their hordes advance like a desert wind and gather prisoners like sand.
10 Tāmen jīqiào jūnwáng , xiàohua shǒulǐng , chīxiào yīqiè bǎo zhàng , zhú lĕi gōng qǔ .
10 They mock kings and scoff at rulers. They laugh at all fortified cities; by building earthen ramps they capture them.
11 Tā yǐ zìjǐ de shìLìwèi shén , xiàng fēng mĕng rán sǎo guō , xiǎn wèi yǒu zuì .
11 Then they sweep past like the wind and go on— guilty people, whose own strength is their god.”
12 Yēhéhuá wǒde shén , wǒde shèng zhĕ a , nǐ bú shì cóng gèn gǔ ér yǒu ma . wǒmen bì bù zhì sǐ . Yēhéhuá a , nǐ paì déng tā wéi yào xíngfá rén . pánshí a , nǐ shèlì tā wéi yào chéng zhì rén .
12 LORD, are you not from everlasting? My God, my Holy One, you will never die. You, LORD, have appointed them to execute judgment; you, my Rock, have ordained them to punish.
13 Nǐ yǎnmù qīngjié , bú kàn xié pì , bù kàn jiān è . xíng guǐzhà de , nǐ wèihé kàn zhe bù lǐ ne . è rén tūn miè bǐ zìjǐ gōngyì de , nǐ wèihé jìngmò bù yǔ ne .
13 Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrongdoing. Why then do you tolerate the treacherous? Why are you silent while the wicked swallow up those more righteous than themselves?
14 Nǐ wèihé shǐ rén rú hǎi zhōng de yú , yòu rú méiyǒu guǎnxiá de pá wù ne .
14 You have made people like the fish in the sea, like the sea creatures that have no ruler.
15 Tā yòng gōu gōu zhù , yòng wǎng bǔ huò , yòng lá wǎng jùjí tāmen . yīncǐ , tā huānxǐ kuaìlè .
15 The wicked foe pulls all of them up with hooks, he catches them in his net, he gathers them up in his dragnet; and so he rejoices and is glad.
16 Jiù xiàng wǎng xiànjì , xiàng wǎng shāoxiāng . yīn tā yóu cǐ dé féimĕi de fēn , hé fù yù de shíwù .
16 Therefore he sacrifices to his net and burns incense to his dragnet, for by his net he lives in luxury and enjoys the choicest food.
17 Tā qǐ kĕ lǚcì dǎo kōng wǎngluó , jiāng liè guó de rén shícháng shā lù , haó bù gù xī ne .
17 Is he to keep on emptying his net, destroying nations without mercy?
