Job 23

1 Entonces respondió Job, y dijo:

1 Then Job replied ,

2 Aun hoy mi queja es rebelión; su mano es pesada no obstante mi gemido.

2 "Even today my complaint is rebellion; His hand is heavy despite my groaning.

3 ¡Quién me diera saber dónde encontrarle, para poder llegar hasta su trono !

3 "Oh that I knew where I might find Him, That I might come to His seat!

4 Expondría ante El mi causa, llenaría mi boca de argumentos

4 "I would present my case before Him And fill my mouth with arguments

5 Aprendería yo las palabras que El me respondiera, y entendería lo que me dijera.

5 "I would learn the words which He would answer, And perceive what He would say to me.

6 ¿Contendería El conmigo con la grandeza de su poder? No, ciertamente me prestaría atención.

6 "Would He contend with me by the greatness of His power? No, surely He would pay attention to me.

7 Allí el justo razonaría con El, y yo sería librado para siempre de mi Juez.

7 "There the upright would reason with Him; And I would be delivered forever from my Judge.

8 He aquí, me adelanto, y El no está allí, retrocedo, pero no le puedo percibir;

8 "Behold, I go forward but He is not there, And backward, but I cannot perceive Him;

9 cuando se manifiesta a la izquierda, no le distingo, se vuelve a la derecha, y no le veo.

9 When He acts on the left, I cannot behold Him; He turns on the right, I cannot see Him.

10 Pero El sabe el camino que tomo; cuando me haya probado, saldré como el oro.

10 "But He knows the way I take; When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

11 Mi pie ha seguido firme en su senda, su camino he guardado y no me he desviado.

11 "My foot has held fast to His path; I have kept His way and not turned aside.

12 Del mandamiento de sus labios no me he apartado, he atesorado las palabras de su boca más que mi comida.

12 "I have not departed from the command of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.

13 Pero El es único, ¿y quién le hará cambiar? Lo que desea su alma, eso hace.

13 "But He is unique and who can turn Him? And what His soul desires, that He does.

14 Porque El hace lo que está determinado para mí, y muchos decretos como éstos hay con El

14 "For He performs what is appointed for me, And many such decrees are with Him

15 Por tanto, me espantaría ante su presencia; cuando lo pienso, siento terror de El.

15 "Therefore , I would be dismayed at His presence; When I consider, I am terrified of Him.

16 Es Dios el que ha hecho desmayar mi corazón, y el Todopoderoso el que me ha perturbado;

16 "It is God who has made my heart faint, And the Almighty who has dismayed me,

17 pero no me hacen callar las tinieblas, ni la densa oscuridad que me cubre.

17 But I am not silenced by the darkness, Nor deep gloom which covers me.
