1 El SEÑOR dijo también a Job:

The LORD said to Job:
2 «¿Corregirá al Todopoderoso quien contra él contiende?¡Que le responda a Dios quien se atreve a acusarlo!»

“Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him? Let him who accuses God answer him!”
3 Entonces Job le respondió:

Then Job answered the LORD:
4 «¿Qué puedo responderte, si soy tan indigno?¡Me tapo la boca con la mano!

“I am unworthy—how can I reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth.
5 Hablé una vez, y no voy a responder;hablé otra vez, y no voy a insistir».

I spoke once, but I have no answer— twice, but I will say no more.”
6 El SEÑOR le respondió a Job desde la tempestad. Le dijo:

Then the LORD spoke to Job out of the storm:
7 «Prepárate a hacerme frente.Yo te cuestionaré, y tú me responderás.

“Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me.
8 »¿Vas acaso a invalidar mi justicia?¿Me harás quedar mal para que tú quedes bien?

“Would you discredit my justice? Would you condemn me to justify yourself?
9 ¿Tienes acaso un brazo como el mío?¿Puede tu voz tronar como la mía?

Do you have an arm like God’s, and can your voice thunder like his?
10 Si es así, cúbrete de gloria y esplendor;revístete de honra y majestad.

Then adorn yourself with glory and splendor, and clothe yourself in honor and majesty.
11 Da rienda suelta a la furia de tu ira;mira a los orgullosos, y humíllalos;

Unleash the fury of your wrath, look at all who are proud and bring them low,
12 mira a los soberbios, y somételos;aplasta a los malvados donde se hallen.

look at all who are proud and humble them, crush the wicked where they stand.
13 Entiérralos a todos en el polvo;amortaja sus rostros en la fosa.

Bury them all in the dust together; shroud their faces in the grave.
14 Yo, por mi parte, reconoceréque en tu mano derecha está la salvación.

Then I myself will admit to you that your own right hand can save you.
15 »Mira a Behemot, criatura mía igual que tú,que se alimenta de hierba, como los bueyes.

“Look at Behemoth, which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox.
16 ¡Cuánta fuerza hay en sus lomos!¡Su poder está en los músculos de su vientre!

What strength it has in its loins, what power in the muscles of its belly!
17 Su rabo se mece como un cedro;los tendones de sus muslos se entrelazan.

Its tail sways like a cedar; the sinews of its thighs are close-knit.
18 Sus huesos son como barras de bronce;sus piernas parecen barrotes de hierro.

Its bones are tubes of bronze, its limbs like rods of iron.
19 Entre mis obras ocupa el primer lugar,solo yo, su Hacedor, puedo acercármele con la espada.

It ranks first among the works of God, yet its Maker can approach it with his sword.
20 Los montes le brindan sus frutos;allí juguetean todos los animales salvajes.

The hills bring it their produce, and all the wild animals play nearby.
21 Debajo de los lotos se tiende a descansar;se oculta entre los juncos del pantano.

Under the lotus plants it lies, hidden among the reeds in the marsh.
22 Los lotos le brindan su sombra;los álamos junto al río lo envuelven.

The lotuses conceal it in their shadow; the poplars by the stream surround it.
23 No se alarma si brama el río;vive tranquilo aunque el Jordán le llegue al hocico.

A raging river does not alarm it; it is secure, though the Jordan should surge against its mouth.
24 ¿Quién ante sus ojos se atreve a capturarlo?¿Quién puede atraparlo y perforarle la nariz?

Can anyone capture it by the eyes, or trap it and pierce its nose?
