Psalm 1

TMB 1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful; NIV 1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, TMB 2 but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law doth he meditate day and night. NIV 2 but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night. TMB 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. NIV 3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. TMB 4 The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. NIV 4 Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. TMB 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. NIV 5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. TMB 6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish. NIV 6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
