CSB 1 God has taken His place in the divine assembly; He judges among the gods: NIV 1 God presides in the great assembly; he renders judgment among the “gods”: CSB 2 "How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah NIV 2 “How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked? CSB 3 Provide justice for the needy and the fatherless; uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute. NIV 3 Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. CSB 4 Rescue the poor and needy; save them from the hand of the wicked." NIV 4 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. CSB 5 They do not know or understand; they wander in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken. NIV 5 “The ‘gods’ know nothing, they understand nothing. They walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken. CSB 6 I said, "You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High. NIV 6 “I said, ‘You are “gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’ CSB 7 However, you will die like men and fall like any other ruler." NIV 7 But you will die like mere mortals; you will fall like every other ruler.” CSB 8 Rise up, God, judge the earth, for all the nations belong to You. NIV 8 Rise up, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are your inheritance.
