NIRV 3 The LORD is the great God. He is the greatest King. He rules over all of the gods. NIV 3 For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods. NIRV 4 He owns the deepest parts of the earth. The mountain peaks belong to him. NIV 4 In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. NIRV 5 The ocean is his, because he made it. He formed the dry land with his hands. NIV 5 The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. NIRV 6 Come, let us bow down and worship him. Let us fall on our knees in front of the LORD our Maker. Listen to his voice today. NIV 7 for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Today, if only you would hear his voice, NIRV 8 If you hear it, don't be stubborn as you were at Meribah. Don't be stubborn as you were that day at Massah in the desert. NIV 8 “Do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah,as you did that day at Massah in the wilderness, NIRV 9 There your people of long ago really put me to the test. They did it even though they had seen what I had done for them. NIV 9 where your ancestors tested me; they tried me, though they had seen what I did. NIRV 10 For 40 years I was angry with them. I said, "Their hearts are always going down the wrong path. They do not know how I want them to live." NIV 10 For forty years I was angry with that generation; I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known my ways.’ NIRV 11 So when I was angry, I took an oath. I said, "They will never enjoy the rest I planned for them." NIV 11 So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’ ”
