Psalm 131

LXX

NIV

1 O Lord, my heart is not exalted, neither have mine eyes been haughtily raised: neither have I exercised myself in great matters, nor in things too wonderful for me.
1 My heart is not proud, LORD, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me.
2 I shall have sinned if I have not been humble, but have exulted my soul: according to the relation of a weaned child to his mother, so wilt thou recompense my soul.
2 But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content.
3 Let Israel hope in the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.
3 Israel, put your hope in the LORD both now and forevermore.
