1 <<A song of degrees of David.>> LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty; neither do I exercise myself with great matters, or in things too high for me.

2 Surely I have behaved and quieted myself as a child that is weaned from his mother; my soul is even as a weaned child.

3 Let Israel hope in the LORD from henceforth and for ever.

1 O LORD, my heart is not conceited. My eyes do not look down on others. I am not involved in things too big or too difficult for me.

2 Instead, I have kept my soul calm and quiet. My soul is content as a weaned child is content in its mother's arms.

3 Israel, put your hope in the LORD now and forever.
