1 <<For the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A maskil by David, when the Zifim came and said to Sha'ul, "Isn't David hiding himself among us?">> Save me, God, by your name. Vindicate me in your might.
1 Save me, O God, by thy name, And judge me in thy might.
2 Hear my prayer, God. Listen to the words of my mouth.
2 Hear my prayer, O God; Give ear to the words of my mouth.
3 For strangers have risen up against me. Violent men have sought after my soul. They haven't set God before them. Selah.
