1 (95-1) <A canticle for David himself, when the house was built after the captivity.> Sing ye to the Lord a new canticle: sing to the Lord, all the earth.
1 Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.
2 (95-2) Sing ye to the Lord and bless his name: shew forth his salvation from day to day.
2 Sing to the LORD, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.
3 (95-3) Declare his glory among the Gentiles: his wonders among all people.
3 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
4 (95-4) For the Lord is great, and exceedingly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
4 For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.
5 (95-5) For all the gods of the Gentiles are devils: but the Lord made the heavens.
5 For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.
6 (95-6) Praise and beauty are before him: holiness and majesty in his sanctuary.
6 Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and glory are in his sanctuary.
7 (95-7) Bring ye to the Lord, O ye kindreds of the Gentiles, bring ye to the Lord glory and honour:
7 Ascribe to the LORD, all you families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
8 (95-8) Bring to the Lord glory unto his name. Bring up sacrifices, and come into his courts:
8 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come into his courts.
9 (95-9) Adore ye the Lord in his holy court. Let all the earth be moved at his presence.
9 Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth.
10 (95-10) Say ye among the Gentiles, the Lord hath reigned. For he hath corrected the world, which shall not be moved: he will judge the people with justice.
10 Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns.” The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.
11 (95-11) Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad, let the sea be moved, and the fulness thereof:
11 Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it.
12 (95-12) The fields and all things that are in them shall be joyful. Then shall all the trees of the woods rejoice
12 Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.
13 (95-13) before the face of the Lord, because he cometh: because he cometh to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with justice, and the people with his truth.
13 Let all creation rejoice before the LORD, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his faithfulness.
